Gintama
In a world where aliens have invaded Edo Period Japan, skyscrapers, trains and motor bikes have replaced the simple life of Earth inhabitants. One man however, still carries the soul of a samurai, Gintoki Sakata, otherwise known as Yorozuya Gin-san. As reckless as he is, Gintoki carries his own resolve and is ready to take on any challenge with his fellow companions.
A show so good I stopped watching so that I can save it for later. Gintama is also one of those funny shows that have ungodly comedy. Shows like Konosuba relies on character interaction for the comedy, Gintama has that and also just puts itself in the weirdest situation you can imagine. Dirty jokes, puns and the random shenanigans the cast gets up to all make each episode enjoyable. Every once in a while it also adds in a serious arc that fleshed out the characters, and then immediately go back to the weird shenanigans. Although some people might not vibe with the comedy, and some characters do become a bit one dimensional if they do the same joke like 24/7, but nonetheless it does have a special place in my heart. Still haven’t got around to the final season, but if I ever feel god awful, an episode of this will definitely cheer me up.
